Brenna Marea Powell – The IPRE Group.
Brenna Marea Powell is Chairman of the Board and a Principal at The IPRE Group. She received her PhD in Government and Social Policy from Harvard University. Her specific expertise includes conflict resolution and negotiation, security sector reform and ethnic and racial politics. Her research has been published in academic journals, and she has extensive experience working in Northern Ireland and Brazil, as well as historical and archival research in the United States. She has held fellowships at Harvard University’s Malcolm Wiener Center for Inequality and Social Policy, Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation, as well as the position of Visiting Scholar at Stanford University’s Center for Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law. In addition, she worked for five years with the Stanford Center for International Cooperation and Negotiation, leading conflict resolution and peace-building programs in Northern Ireland. She received an AB in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity from Stanford and speaks Portuguese.
