The IPRE Group is a network of experts in the fields of impact evaluation, political development, governance, climate change and conflict. Partners are brought in to contribute specific methodological or regional expertise to a project. We share a commitment to rigorous research using the most sophisticated tools available.
Brenna Marea Powell is Principal and Chairman at the IPRE Group. She is the Associate Director of the Stanford Center on International Conflict and Negotiation, and received her PhD in Government and Social Policy from Harvard University. Her specific expertise includes conflict resolution and negotiation, security sector reform and ethnic and racial politics. Her research has been published in academic journals, and she has extensive experience working in Northern Ireland and Brazil, as well as historical and archival research in the United States. She has held fellowships at Harvard University’s Malcolm Wiener Center for Inequality and Social Policy, Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation, as well as the position of Visiting Scholar at Stanford University’s Center for Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law. She received an AB in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity from Stanford and speaks Portuguese.
